Our Newest Family Member

We all welcomed Brodie to our family yesterday evening! He is a miniature dachshund and is cute as can be!  Things have been a little weird since Jake died and I really didn't want to get another dog so soon.  But the opportunity arose and if we were going to do it, better do it now, or wait another 2 years for Lila to be ready.  The kids really like him a lot, actually, they won't leave him alone.  I have to put him in his crate so he can have some down time away from the kids :-)  My favorite thing by far that he does is sniff out tiny crumbs on the floor and lick them up.  At least now I someone who will help me with the housework.  Ha ha... just kidding. ;-) Anyway, here's a picture of him:
