Baylee is doing wonderfully. She will be five in March and is so ready to go to school in August. I, on the other hand, am so not ready for that. My baby girl is growing up to be such a smart little kid. She knows how to write her name in upper and lower case letters, count to 30, and recognizes all her numbers and most of her letters! She loves to do any arts and crafts type projects which I guess she gets from me. She loves having Jacob around and has made herself the honorary 'babysitter'. It pleases me to no end that she is such a little momma.
Ryan is doing good as well. As most of you know, we have had some problems out of him partly because he is right slap dab in the middle of his terrible twos. He is a biter and also aggressive by nature, so its taken all our might to try to coax him out of it. He is, however, coming through it nicely, and his behavior has improved vastly over the last few weeks or so. He is a very passionate little boy and is so very loving. When he is mean he is really mean, but when he's sweet, there is no other sweeter boy. He is really starting to talk a lot more, which we have been waiting for. He is still not potty trained, partly because of his stubbornness, but we are working on it and have already set a date on when Ryan gets 'no more diapers'.
Jacob looks like an eight month old. He is now five months and if I could guess, I would say he is getting close to 20 pounds. He is a very laid back baby and has, just as of a week ago, rolled over. His temperament is wonderful and I could not have even asked for a better baby. What a blessing he truly is!
The children had a very blessed Christmas. We all went to the beach the week before Christmas which was awesome because that was my mother in laws present to us. She took our family and my sister in laws family to St. George Island with her for a week. We all stayed in a beautiful beach house and had an awesome week full of relaxing, game playing and swimming, yes, swimming! We had a private heated pool and we have discovered that Baylee has quite the little passion for swimming, which doesn't surprise me since both her mommy and daddy are water lovers. Then we got home just in time to get everything together for Christmas. We didn't really intend to have such a big Christmas, but we had a person we will call "Santa" that really wanted the kids to have a big one. So we said ok and added to the presents that we had already gotten and this is what our house looked like on Christmas morning:

Yes that is a power wheels, train table, play kitchen, and a ton of presents underneath the tree. The kids were so overwhelmed they almost didn't know what to do. Ryan was so enamored, that he didn't even notice his power wheels. We actually had to point it out for him, but when he saw it, he didn't want to play with anything else, that is, until he saw the train table. And then to top it all off, my dad got the kids a trampoline, something they had really been wanting. Since this Christmas was so big, we did have to explain to the kids that every Christmas after this was not going to be like this one. Another awesome thing was to be able to explain the real meaning of Christmas to Baylee. She asked questions and was so curious to really know what Christmas is all about. Through our Sunday school class we sponsored a needy family, but I think next year I would like for just our family to sponsor another family. Baylee is very giving and I think she would enjoy something like that. I would also like to take her down to the community kitchen and let her help mommy and daddy serve food to the homeless, just to let her see how good she really has it. I get so exited as the kids get older and we can share things like this with them and they, in return, really understand it and soak it up like a sponge.
So I guess that brings everyone up to date on how the holydays went. I am so excited about another year and where God will take us in this year. I am excited to grow spiritually with Him and for our family as a unit to grow stronger because of Him.
